Olamide Releases Track-List For Baddest Guy Ever Liveth Album

Nijia hip hop artist Olamide who is also know as the king of the streets and baddo, has released the track list for his highly anticipated album, “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth”.

The House of Representatives committee on Aviation, has conclude hearing on Thursday for the purchase of two armoured cars for the aviation minister, Stella Oduah, for N255 million.

The hearing was adjourned from Wednesday, to allow the aviation minister attend. The minister was expected at the Wednesday hearing but was absent because she was away in Israel for a bilateral air service agreement signing.

The highlight of today’s hearing would be the minister’s appearance. Her absence at the hearing Wednesday angered many lawmakers who said it would be her last opportunity to be heard.

A 40-year old widow named Mujidat was caught yesterday Wednesday October 30th with a dead day old baby inside a sack around her residence at at the Iba area of Lagos, PM News reports. It was gathered that a member of the community, High Chief Babatunde Balogun caught the mother of seven when she was trying to dispose the baby at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

When questioned on the content of the sack, she claimed she was coming from the market where she bought some household items. However, on a closer look, Balogun discovered that the sack contained a dead day old baby the woman allegedly had just delivered.

Some Legislators Are Drafting A Bill Seeking To End Alleged Discrimination Of Higher National Diploma (HND) Holders In Nigeria

A member of the House of Representatives said on Wednesday that some legislators are drafting a bill seeking to end alleged discrimination of Higher National Diploma (HND) holders in Nigeria.

Rep. Aminu Suleiman, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Education, told newsmen in Lagos that the bill would soon be presented to the House.

The Johannesburg Gauteng education department approved the decision of a high school in Pretoria, South Africa, to dismiss the teacher, who allegedly took pupils to have their penises pierced.

“No school or teacher is allowed to do that, we welcome the decision by the school governing body to fire him,” said spokesperson Gershwin Chuenyane on Wednesday.

The Sultan of Sokoto, while receiving in his Palace a delegation led by a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, said Islam abhorred the killing of innocent people without following due legal process. According to him, the senseless killings of innocent citizens by insurgents is un-Islamic and should stop forthwith.

The Sultan added that such killings have nothing to do with Islam and as such, the Sultanate Council dissociated itself from those perpetrating such dastardly acts.

Captain Roslyn Managbe, the Public Relations Officer, 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Benin. She said; “We have yet to make any arrest; we arrived at the location after the damage had been done. We are on ground to forestall any further crisis and to bring peace back to the community”.

Witnesses, who spoke to NAN on the condition of anonymity, said that the clash was between members of Ukhuorumi Community Development Association (CDA) loyal to two rival leaders of the association.

“As we speak, the community is deserted by the people for fear of possible attacks, as many cars and buildings were burnt by the combatants yesterday”.

Man Blows Himself Up In Tunisia Resort Town

A man has blown himself up in front of a hotel in a Mediterranean resort town, Sousse, south of Tunis.

The TAP news agency on Wednesday said the man, wearing a belt of explosives, was killed. It was not clear if other people were hurt or killed in the explosion in the town of Sousse, about 150km south of the capital, Tunis.

Sousse is a frequent destination for tourists. Tunisian police also said Tuesday that they captured a man who tried to blow himself up at the tomb of Habib Bourguiba, a former president, in the town of Monastir.

Twelve People Dead As Kenya Train Hits Bus

NAIROBI: Twelve people were killed and several others injured on Wednesday when a passenger train in Kenya's capital smashed into a bus at a crossing. A local police commander Benjamin Nyamae said, The train crashed into the side of the bus as it crossed the railway line during the peak hours of morning rush hour.

"The number of dead people is 12," said Nyamae. An AFP photographer at the scene said the bus was buckled around the front of the train engine. "The bus crossed the line as the train came at a high speed... several others are in hospital," said Nairobi police chief Benson Kibui.

The accident, in Nairobi's Eastlands district, took place as the roads were crowded with passengers rushing to get to work. Several injured have been taken to hospital, some in a critical condition.

Nigeria frees six pregnant girls in baby factory raid

LAGOS (AFP) - Nigerian police have raided a baby factory in the oil city of Port Harcourt and arrested a woman accused of harbouring six pregnant girls, a spokesman said on Wednesday.

"We rescued six girls last week at different stages of pregnancy from an illegal maternity home in Port Harcourt," Joy Elomoko of the Imo State police said, the youngest of the girls was 14, without disclosing the ages of the others. We have also arrested the proprietress of the clinic and she is assisting us in our investigation.

Mike du Toit, white extremist leader, found guilty of treason in South Africa

The mastermind behind a white supremacist plot to assassinate Nelson Mandela and drive blacks out of South Africa has been jailed for 35 years after a decade-long trial. Mike du Toit, a former lecturer at a segregated apartheid-era university, was convicted of high treason in July last year.

He recruited supporters from among hardline white Afrikaners for his far-right "Boeremag", or Boer Force. It planned to violently overthrow the government and return the country to white-only rule.

Solar Eclipse Occurs On Sunday

THE Director-General of National Biotechnical Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr Saidu Mohammed, has said the solar eclipse, which will occur on November 3, will come with mild darkness across the 36 states of the federation.

The Director-General, who made this known during a press briefing, last Thursday in Abuja, also advised Nigerians to remain calm, as the eclipse would not affect satellite communications or air services.

The eclipse, however, will be characterised by a flush of sunlight and mild darkness during its peak. The agency has, therefore, made available at its headquarters, sunglasses, which will serve as filters for the effect of the sun.

The police in Lagos State have commenced investigation into how a nine-year-old girl died, after sustaining injuries caused by alleged consistent rape. According to police authorities, the deceased was raped over five times, by a 14-year-old student, Onyi Adimabua, in the Ikorodu area of the state.

The father of the deceased, Simeon Jigo, told Punch Metro that Onyi is the son of the proprietor of the school his daughter attended. He said his daughter opened up about the rape when she started having medical problems. The 77-year-old man said his daughter died on October 3, 2013.

He said, “Up until my daughter’s death, she was a pupil of Fulfilled Greenland School, Ikorodu, and she was in primary three. One day, she came home and started complaining of pains around her vagina, stomach area. We rushed her to Ikorodu General Hospital.

Convert To Islam Or You Will Be Crucified Like Jesus..

The mortars has repeatedly hit the Christian district of Damascus, reportedly killing at least 32 people and injuring dozens of others the past two weeks. Rebel shelling into the capital has increasingly hit several majority-Christian districts, particularly al-Qassaa.

The recent rebel assaults on predominantly Christian towns have fueled fears among Syria’s religious minorities about the growing role of Islamic extremists and foreign fighters among the rebels fighting against President Bashar Assad’s rule.

President Goodluck Jonathan wrote in a letter dated Oct. 23, his intention to present the 2014 budget to the National Assembly.

"I write to crave your kind indulgence to grant me the slot of 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Nov. 12 to enable me formally address a joint session of the National Assembly on the 2014 budget.

I thank the distinguished senators for the constancy of their support, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration". The letter stated.
