Photos Of President Jonathan Visiting Victims Of Abuja Bomb Blast

President Jonathan this morning visited the scene of the bomb blast that rocked Emab Plaza in Abuja on Wednesday June 25th, killing 21 people. The President, who arrived in Abuja yesterday from the aborted attendance at the 23rd Ordinary Session of African Union Heads of States and Government in Malabo, also visited some of the victims of the blast currently receiving treatment at the Maitama District Hospital in Abuja.

Photos Of Mass Burial For 100 Victims Of Kaduna Attack

100 men, women and children who died in the June 23rd and 24th ethnic crisis that rocked Sanga LGA in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna state were yesterday June 26th  given a mass burial in a parcel of land between Gwantu Kurmi and Kobin in the Local government. According to the Chairman of the Sanga LGA, Mr Emmanuel Adamu, they had to resort to a mass burial because the bodies of the victims were beginning to decompose due to the poor facilities at the UNIJOS Morgue.

It was a great and wonderful event as the Catch Them Young Initiatives summit tagged "The Beautiful Ones" came to an end on the 6th June 2014. The summit was held at Omega fire Ministries State Headquarters in Benin city, Edo state Nigeria. The brain behind this event is Joshua Abuya who is the president and head of the teenagers of O.F.M Benin 1 church, and he also used the medium to lunch his book "I Choose To Be Great" which was written by him and his his younger sister.

OMG!!! Boko Haram Attacks Military Post, Kills 16 Soldiers, Abducts Some

Dozens of suspected members of Boko Haram group on Tuesday June 24th carried out a deadly attack on a military post in Bulabulin Ngaura in Damboa LGA of Borno state, killing 16 soldiers. Punch reports.
According to one of the soldiers who escaped and spoke on anonymity to journalists, he said the sect men came in 30 vehicles mounted with anti-aircraft guns, caught them unawares and subdued them.

The Younger Brother of Yaya Toure And Kolo Toure Dies Aged 28


Ibrahim Toure who happens to be the younger brother of Premier League and Ivory Coast footballers Yaya and Kolo Toure died yesterday 19th June 2014 in the UK. Ibrahim Toure who's picture is on the left hand side is also a professional footballer and he is just 28 years old. His cause of death has not been made known but he's said to have died just hours after Ivory Coast lost 2-1 to Colombia at the World Cup.
Strange.

The ex-VP spoke today in Abuja when he received in his office, leaders of the Northern Youth Leaders Forum, a group that recently embarked on a fence-mending mission to reconcile the former president and his deputy. Led by Comrade Eliot Afiyo, the group had weeks ago met former President Obasanjo in Ota, Ogun State, where he told them that he had forgiven his former vice president.

“I don’t harbor any grudge against my former boss. Yes, we had disagreements in office. These were mere disagreements. I harbor no hatred or enmity against him or anybody. I never had anything against him and I will never have”, the statement quoted Atiku as saying while responding to the group.
He explained that in politics, he has opponents, but no enemies.

3 New Permanent Secretaries Has Been Apointed By President Jonathan

Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of three new permanent secretaries in the Federal Civil Service. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja by Mohammed Manga, Assistant Director, Media Relations, in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

According to the statement, the Head of the Civil Service, Bukar Aji, announced the approval on Monday in Abuja. It said the new appointments had been made to fill vacant slots following the retirement of permanent secretaries representing Ekiti, Plateau and Katsina states.
