Nigeria Final 23 Man Squad; See Who Made It.


The reigning African champions will be making their fifth FIFA World cup appearance this year in South America having been housed together with Iran, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Argentina in Group F.

Experienced captain, Joseph Yobo was named alongside 22 others that also included golden boot winner of the 2013 AFCON, Emmanuel Emenike, 2014 Marc Vivian Foe award recipient for the best African player in Ligue 1, Vincent Enyeama and rejuvenated Stoke City forward, Osaze Odemwingie and are expected to lead the wards to glory in Brazil.
Newcastle United forward Shola Ameobi, Chelsea’s trio of Victor Moses, Kenneth Omeruo and John Obi Mikel alongside Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike, Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona, Sunshine Stars Kunle Odunlami, Gombe United Chigozie Agbim, and Almeria midfielder Ramon Azeez will all be making their world cup debuts.

It is expected that Keshi will reveal what his first 11 will look like when they face Greece later on Tuesday night in an international friendly game in Philadelphia, USA. The match is one of the trio of tune up games organized by the Nigeria football federation to help put the team in a great shape ahead of the mundial.

Nigeria salvaged a 2-2 draw against Scotland at Craven Cottage thanks to a late strike by substitute, Uche Nwofor. The Super Eagles are also scheduled to play the USA in their final preparatory game before jetting off to Brazil for the start of the tournament which kicks off on the 12th of June.
