Manchester City Lead The Race For Fabregas

Fabregas and Team Mates
Manchester City have tabled a whooping £37Million in a bid to land Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona. Despite strong interests from rivals, the Manchester club are hoping they can lure the Spanish international to the Ethiad. Fabregas came under heavy criticism last season from Barcelona supporters due to his lackluster displays on few occasions. Finishing the season trophyless for the Catalan club even made the former Arsenal man a scape goat.

New coach Luís Enrique, is looking to make drastic changes to the team. He has expressed his interest to sign Atletico Madrid Luis Koke. That intent however shows Fabregas is not needed at the Club for next season, as the team are prepared to sell him for the right price.

Yaya Toure, City’s talisman future is hanging on a noose. The player’s Agent revealed few weeks back that Manchester City are not showing enough care for their big-in-stature attacking midfielder. With Toure not entirely happy at the Club, City are hoping signing Fabregas would keep them in a safe position if Yaya decides to leave.

However, Arsenal are still in pole position to bring back their prodigal son. Under the terms of the buy-back clause in Cesc Fabregas’s Barcelona contract, the North London club must be briefed of any transfer dealings of the player by Barcelona. Also giving an option to match the bid. Though, the Gunners have potential suitors for his role if he’s to return; with Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere all capable of handling his position.
