Ranocchia has seen limited opportunities at the San Siro under manager Walter Mazzarri and Inter are ready to cash in on the Italian international in the upcoming January transfer window. According to reports in Italy, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is hoping to tempt Ranocchia, 25, to Stamford Bridge as he prepares for the exit of David Luiz.

Mourinho is willing to let the Brazilian international leave the club with Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino eager to conclude deal to bring his long-term target to the Camp Nou. Arsenal, United and Spurs are also monitoring the situation, however it looks like Chelsea could hold the trump card to any deal to sign Ranocchia.

Despite claiming commitment to the Inter cause, Ranocchia is yet to sign a new contract and his stalling is said to have angered Inter officials. Arsenal, United and Spurs are also monitoring the situation, however it looks like Chelsea could hold the trump card to any deal to sign Ranocchia.

Inter Milan is also interested in signing Luiz and reports in Italy suggest the Serie A outfit would consider a potential swap for the two defenders instead of a straight cash deal. Ahead of next summer's World Cup, Ranocchia and Luiz are looking to secure regular playing time to assure their places in their respective national team squads and a swap deal with the promise of first-team football could appeal to both.
