The Winner Of 2014 World Cup Will Go Home With The Sum Of $35 Million U.S. Dollars

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will pocket the sum of $35m should they go on to stun the world by winning the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. This announcement was made by Fifa secretary general Jerome Valcke at a news conference following the FIFA executive committee which ended yesterday.

It entails a 37% increase in the prize money for the World Cup finals from $420 million in 2010 to $576 million at next summer’s tournament.
