The Senate today also resolved in the committee of whole to suspend plenary and other legislative activities in honour of late Honourable Raphael Nomiye from Ondo State.
Approving the resolution in the committee of the whole, deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu said it is the tradition of the chamber to dedicate a day to mourn and commiserate with any lawmaker who die in active service.
The senate however read a letter by Presideent Goodluck Jonathan requesting the replacement of Enikuomehim Olonungbonju with barrister Amuwa Benson Adegbenio as member representing Ondo State in the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC board.
