The former Manchester United midfielder was initially charged with two counts of common assault after allegedly hitting his former girlfriend and her mother Parveen Mansoor, 39, on 27th of July in Salford. During his appearance at Manchester Magistrates' Court, an additional harassment charge was added against the 21-year-old footballer.
Morrison was released on bail and is set to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 28 August for a preliminary hearing. Under his bail conditions, Morrison, originally from Wythenshawe, is not allowed to enter the Greater Manchester area unless it is for footballing purposes with West Ham, and he must not come into contact with the two female complainants.
Originally touted as a future Manchester United star, Morrison's career began to unravel and he was sold to West Ham for £650,000 in January 2012. He has also been loaned out to Birmingham and Queens Park Rangers. Morrison has been capped at every youth level for England, including four times for the Under-21s.
