True Blood star Anna Paquin might not be dating women as she’s married to her co-star Stephen Moyer, but the actress will always consider herself to be bisexual. The mother-of-two was asked about her sexuality during a chat with Larry King on his show, Larry King Now, where she sat down for a full-on 25-minute chat and she wasn’t afraid to tell it straight.
“Are you a non-practicing bisexual,” the chat show veteran asked. “Well, I am married to my husband [Stephen Moyer], and we are happily monogamously married," Anna, who came out in 2010.
“But you were bisexual?” King asked.
"Well, I don't think it's a past tense thing," the X-Men star clarified. "Are you still straight if you are with somebody?... If you were to break up with them or if they were to die, it doesn't prevent your sexuality from existing. It doesn't really work like that." She replied.
King, who has been married eight times, then joked: “Stop with the wishful thinking.”
The 32-year-old took part in the Give a Damn campaign as part of Cyndi Lauper’s Tru Colours Fund in 2010, where she announced that she was bisexual. In the video she said: “I’m Anna Paquin. I’m bisexual, and I give a damn.”
"My sexuality is something I'm completely comfortable with and open about," she said. "There's a lot of prejudice toward us but the more people talk about it, the less of a big deal it will be."
